Description
Now abandoned, this former hotel was owned in the 1800’s by David Mayberry. Operated in the heyday of prospecting and mining, there were many gun fights, deaths, and murders at this location. David was shot and survived but developed a what was believed to be schizophrenia. As his descent into madness followed he murdered his wife by stabbing her to death and burned her body in the fireplace. He then drowned their son. Aside from various spirits encountered her, including one believed to be David, most commonly you can hear the sound of a woman crying and screams coming from the bathtub in the basement.
